We're a mid-twenties couple going to Paris for the first time, probably not before but I'd like to get a head start with my research. Can anyone recommend a great Paris guidebook that includes - which district to stay in, hotel recommendations, cheap but great eats, things to do, etc? Merci beaucoup! Great photos, excellent info, and a lot of "side" information - regional cuisine, markets, drawings of the interiors of major sites My absolute favorite guidebook anywhere is Lonely Planet. Usually, their suggestions for hotels, eating, things to do, activities fit my interests, I like the cultural explanations, and support their commitment to eco-tourism. Another guidebook I like is Moon, interesting reading.
